In plain language.
When you reply to an event or offer to volunteer, your information is for campaign coordination. It is not a public guest list. Contributions have separate election recordkeeping and disclosure requirements, explained below.
What the forms collect
An RSVP asks for your name, email address, chosen event and number attending. The volunteer form also asks about the work you would like to do, your availability and an optional neighbourhood or postal code. Please do not include sensitive personal information in the optional message.
Both forms record your consent and the time of your response. Event and volunteer coordination is handled by the campaign team. For questions, email kermit@kermitdahl.ca.
Contribution records
The contribution form collects your full name, email, residential address, a different mailing address if applicable, intended amount, eligibility confirmations and consent. It records a reference and the submission time so the financial agent can match your details to a bank transfer, contact you about it, check contribution rules and prepare required reports. A saved form does not mean that money has been received.
Your bank handles the transfer. This website does not collect bank logins, account numbers or payment-card details. Contribution information is available only to authorized campaign personnel for contribution administration, not to website visitors or shared campaign reviewers. Submitting the form does not subscribe you to marketing.
If your contributions total $100 or more, your name and contribution details must be reported publicly. Elections BC removes contributor addresses before publishing reports. Campaign financing records must be kept in British Columbia until five years after General Voting Day; the candidate and financial agent are responsible for that retention. Your choices
You can attend the open houses without completing an online RSVP. You can also contact the campaign directly. An RSVP or volunteer submission does not subscribe you to a newsletter.
Contact the campaign to correct your details, change or cancel an RSVP, withdraw your consent to further coordination, or ask about access to or deletion of your information. Some records may need to be retained where applicable requirements call for it. This notice does not promise automatic deletion on a particular date.
Where information goes
The website and its database are hosted by Cloudflare. Campaign notifications use a Google-hosted, send-only service. Event and volunteer notifications go to the campaign coordinator; contribution notifications go to the campaign’s donation inbox. These service providers may process information outside Canada. Website visitors and shared campaign reviewers cannot retrieve submitted personal information.
The site does not install advertising pixels, create advertising audiences from form responses, or sell contact details. When you choose an external service such as Facebook, your maps app or your email app, that service’s own privacy practices apply.
Brochure counts and security
New flyer links identify a design, revision, print batch and whether the link leads to events or The Record. The site records daily totals of filtered short-link opens, without keeping an individual visit record, IP address, network fingerprint or tracking cookie for these new counts. A source label stays in the website address as you navigate and may be saved with your RSVP. It identifies the link used, not an individual paper copy, your neighbourhood or your political views.
Repeated visits and forwarded links can count again. Recognizable bots, link previews and marked tests are excluded, but filtering is not perfect. Link opens are not an exact count of people or camera scans. Older A/B links retain their earlier estimated-daily-visit method, using a one-way, daily-changing network fingerprint. Old and new counts are not directly comparable.
Forms use a separate one-way network fingerprint to limit abuse. Cloudflare also processes connection information to deliver and protect the site. Authorized reviewers use a necessary, time-limited sign-in cookie. Ordinary visitors do not need an account.

Website visits
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand which public pages people visit, referring websites, device types and page performance. It does not use tracking cookies or identify people across websites. We do not send form entries, contribution details or email addresses to this analytics service. Private review pages and marked test visits are excluded. Browser blocking and other exclusions mean these reports are estimates, not a count of every person.
